On the day of the procedure, local anesthesia is administered. Traditional liposuction of the flanks and full abdomen is done with a high-powered laser. Dr. Sharma excises the extra skin and makes a new belly button, and pulls the skin down. The final suture is above the pelvic area.
It is that simple. Patients can recover within 24 hours, and some even return to work after 48 hours.
